Our mission

  • Achieving a general idea of regulation, based on the need for an independent national regulator.
  • It is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the water supply in Spain without urgent renovation and replacement of infrastructures.
  • New financing and pricing formulas, as well as social action mechanisms to guarantee water for all citizens regardless of their economic situation: There is a strong latent social commitment on the part of utilities to guarantee the availability of this Universal Human Right in terms of accessibility and quality, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • People at the centre of urban water management, especially those that are most vulnerable.
  • Transparency and participation in water management: redefining management models, adapting the governance model to new needs, involving citizens in procedures and decision-making.
  • Reuse of treated water; maximum use of collected water; and reduction of environmental impact: three pillars on which water operators must work.
  • Towards efficient and sustainable management, with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a roadmap.
  • Coordination, collaboration and partnerships between administrations, public and private companies and civil society.
  • Technology, innovation, technification and specialisation.
