Urban water consumption currently accounts for 20% of total water consumption. The average daily consumption per person in Spain is 131 litres. Andalusia is the Autonomous Community with the highest consumption, with 140 l/capita/day compared to the national average of 131 l/capita/day. Thanks to awareness campaigns and the continuous improvement and control of infrastructure, water consumption is significantly reduced each year.
